Afternoon guys. I'm trying to find someone in the window area that can have a look at my 2015 A5 Sportback. The joys of driving through rubbish weather the other week, my part steering speed working 120 miles into my homeward journey to Wiltshire.. Boot some muscle trying to get the family back home the last 5 miles haha. Any help would be much alleviated and I can provide a more descriptive account if needed.

Sorry, I meant Wiltshire

Most probably you have moisture inside you power steering rack, water got inside through the torn boot. And usually, at this stage, that means you will have to replace the whole unit altogether, unless you find some serious power steering specialists.

I've got someone coming out to do a diagnostic.. It doesn't look like it's going to be a cheap fix

We'll see if a recode is a viable option.. No idea how much a new steering rack is going to cost!
