loosing coolant ?

twice now ive had to top up my coolant level within a few weeks and i had it serviced 3 months ago but the oil isn't registering on the dip stick for some reason but i know theres plenty in there as i saw the garage make sure enough was in there , there seems to be no leaks from the bottle or hoses but when running its making a gulping noise ??

any ideas on what could be wrong ?

car is a BEX190 1.8t quattro

If its not showing on the dipstick it must be low unless the stick or its tube is broken.Coolant loss could be anything have you looked for leaks

yeah checked everything but no leaks ?? will get the garage to have a look over it tomorrow

could be water pump going,same as what happened to ours, started as a small weep

I'd be more concerned about the oil level, or lack of it! Just because it was topped up 3 months ago doesn't mean it's still good now! Reading engine oil dipstick.

As for the coolant, if it's gulping when running then it sounds like there's an air lock and the system requires bleeding.
