I don't know much specific to the C5 RS6, but from a general used car point of view -

Mileage is avg 12k a year, but on this maybe more like 10k so 130k on an 03 is 'average'. 119k is the coming up to the second round of expensive services (usually every 60k for clutch, brakes, belts, filters etc) so look for one that's had all that done or ask for a fair chunk off to get it covered. It's hard to go on generalisations though, as some of these cars will have had a much harder life than others. A well looked after example won't be a problem at 100k+ miles though.

Get a third party inspection, and make sure all the electronics etc are working. Also, test drive more than one to compare, even if you have no intention of buying the second car (but better not to tell the seller that).

I have a C5 RS6...

a few things to look out for is the DRC suspension, the gearbox, the alternator, N75 valve, intercoolers, as well as the usual brakes, tyres etc etc..

if the car has been looked after, they can handle mileage pretty well... plenty out there with 150k plus miles.

they are great cars, a bit of a pain sometimes and you really need to be a petrol head to have one, they do not make financial sense... I've just got new discs n pads at over a grand, plus tyres are about £550...

If I was looking to buy one, a change of suspension, rebuild gearbox and thick file of specialist history would be a must for me... I wouldn't touch one with Audi history 'cause they are morons...especially with this car.

look for MRC or Unit 20 service history.
