Looking for an a6!! Buying guide..

Hi guys! Just a quick question, my friend is looking for an A6 2.0 tdi and she's in need! What should she be looking out for in terms of engine faults or any other defects to good points to look out for? Seen a few on auto trader for around 9grand with decent mileage but not very knowledgeable on the tdi engines! Help is much appriciated!
