Logging info needed

Hi. i need to do a bit of logging with vagcom and i need to know a couple of things.

is there a specific rev range i should be testing/logging? and is there a specific engine temperature also.

I will be logging blocks 31, 2 and 115. Im trying to find out the cause of my boost problem.

Sure its, engine temp 90, third gear, 2000 rpm and floor it until the red line. This will take you over 70mph so private road!

ok nice one. thanks for that. the problem im trying to diagnose usually happens from cold so should i do a cold log aswell?

dont think it would be a good idea to try red lining it when cold. Not sure it would let you anyway.
