little yellow engine light has come on!!!

Well got my new car today a6 3.0 tdi le mans and well pleased with it but got home and went back out an hr later and the emission light has come on going to ring the garage tomorrow but didn't get any warranty with it so not holding my breath there anyway I'll plug into it tomorrow I was just wondering what the common probs are then that light comes on any info much appreciated

I'll say it first:-
Inlet manifold flaps are playing up.
No real problem - but it will put the light on.
Get the garage to scan it and tell you what the fault is

Thanks for the reply.I did wonder about the flaps doesn't the rod wear on them .I'll plug into it tomorrow and see what it comes up with
