I think you'll find that the majority of people don't actually want the Headlamp washers to activate at all, hence setting a high number of windscreen washes before it activates the headlamp washes.

I hadn't noticed that rev blip, or the wipers stopping when the car stops. Interesting info here!
How on earth did I never notice this... thanks! At the bottom of the seat belts there is a plastic slider you can set to your required height. Stops the buckle falling all the way down and rattling, also makes it easier to get to

This is great! I've been for weeks struggling with the buckle, which currently falls almost to the floor. I don't have the car right now, but I'll try this. I hope that plastic slider is not a S3-only thing (I have an A3)

I have paid attention today and the revs don't seem to change when I press the clutch in neutral. When exactly do you notice that? I have a 1.4 TFSI CoD with manual gear.
Definitely got em on my A3, little bits of genius.
I was the same, it was the only thing about the car that annoyed me. Thought there must be something there.
Fault codes and diagnostics information gets saved to the key. You can't really do anything with that yourself, but when you take it in to Audi they can read things off there rather than having to plug things into the car.
I had this as standard on my 07 BMW.... why was it an option on a 14 Audi?
Audi have had the key fob diagnostic logging for a while, but it has been implemented when models were revised and wasn't launched across all existing models at the same time.
That's not my point... It was standard on my 07 BMW and it's only an option on a 56k euro Audi S3
How do you mean option, he's talking about a normal key fob not the smart key.

Sorry if this is already in the list of surprises but discovered today that there are two things that each key remembers:
- Car mode e.g. dynamic or auto
- Climate control settings
Anyone know if it ties anything else to the (non-advanced) key?

More pleased than surprised tho' ...
Wish the hatch had this, but I do know there is a retrofit around.
