Noticed a small amount of mayo on my dipstick a couple of times now, absolutely no signs of it under filler cap. Everything else is as it should be. I've recently had the thermostat changed as it stopped working. My commute to work is 10 miles which takes around 15 mins. Just wondering if its normal at this time of year. Should I change the oil???

I've seen this a few times mayo on the dipstick on cars in at our garage and it was there due to emulsified oil sitting in the dipstick tube and not the oil its self it can collect in there much like it does when it collects in the top of the engine condensation mixes with the oil and makes the mayo type substance so the as long as the oil on the end of the dipstick is normal then you have nothing to worry about

Cheers bud, it is near the bottom of the dip, it I pull it out and wipe it x2 then there is no trace of it.

There is also traces of it half way up/down the stick
