Car goes into limp mode sometimes when I'm giving it some. Almost everytime if its up a steep hill and I go above 3k revs.

Scanned it only things it comes up with is glow plug fault on 2 cylinders (no symbol on dash) and boost pressure regulation (over boost). I'm guessing turbo veins are sticking? Sounds like a fire engine too but I hear they all do. Sometimes a bit of blue smoke chucks out aswell... Not too much or too often though.

PD140 Audi A3 2004. No performance mods

Best option is to strip the turbo down & clean internally & refit, something we've done a number of times for clients, mr muscle or the innotec turbo cleaner is temp at best & not a route I suggest at all.

I hear a lot saying do the mr muscle thing and I feel the same about it being half a job, mine just happens to be goin in in 2 weeks to have my turbo cleaned (properly) and new glowplugs

hopefully it'll run great all over again and give me 150mpg

used to happen on mine... exactly the same thing!
ended up just replacing the turbo with a hybrid turbo and had the glow plugs replaced... also needed to replace an injector too.
