Light switch query

Hi all,

Just wondered if my light switch is faulty?

Side lights on = green light on side light symbol
Dipped beam on = orange light on dipped beam symbol

To me I would have thought logically that the dipped beam symbol should go green?

Sidelights are shown in green, dipped in orange and main in blue as a standard. It extends to symbols on such as dash lights.
I think it's an SMMT / ISO thing so all cars are the same

Thanks for the reply. Makes sense. I just find it weird there is no apparent way of knowing the dipped beam is on other than actually seeing the light from the headlights.
