LED License Plate Bulbs Shorting Out??

Bought some Samsung LED licence plate bulbs from HID Direct and fitted them.

After about 3 mins of them being on they short out and come up on the dash as bulb failure, switch lights off/on and they stay on again for 3 mins and short again!

It's a 2004 model 2.0 FSI

Can anyone please help or advise, kinda lost on this one :-/

The resistors are probably heating up too much and not working effectively, so in essence they're not gonna work. Send em back. I just changed mine for OEM ones and they're flawless. If u dont wana do that then contact t8ups

See I was trying to avoid having to put the yellow's OEM ones back in as I think they look pants. I'll give him a shout, cheers

You can get OEM led plate lights. I believe they are made for the a7 and a8. Ive got them on my 2009 with no issues.
