Hi all,

I’ve recently lowered my 2017 A6 sline on H&R springs.
After lowering it looks like the led headlights are lower dipped. After some research I’ve seen they needed realigning using VCDS rather than just a manual adjustment on the headlights.

I’ve just taken the car to an independent Audi specialist who’s saying as I have auto levelling there is no need to realign.

the car only has rear levelling sensor and the lights after definitely more dipped.

Has anyone experienced this before and how did you rectify the issue?

No he's wrong, whenever adjusting suspension lowering etc, its always advisable to adjust properly, the levelling needs a default position to work from & usually its set woth vcds to adjustment mode, then you manually adjust to the mot lense, then disable the mode in vcds.

Always advisable to do with empty boot, car so to speak.

Thank you. That’s exactly what I said and have been thinking. I think I’ll be looking for somewhere else to do it.

how much lower have you gone? 2"? 4"? if we're talking 20-40mm then its just like carrying a few passengers does it really warrent the hassle?

When I lowered mine I just manually adjusted them & they’ve been fine. No need to use vcds
