Not 100% matey, but i have them seats in me S4, and have to is a nice place to be! Especially when they are all 'fed' and the 18yr old isnt making a mess in em!

I paid £500 for mine. Exactly the same as in the pic, heated and electric lumbar. Although i still haven't got round to getting them working but they're pretty comfy.
When i was looking for them, the black leather was quite hard to get hold of.

Yup anything from 250 to 500, its a sellers market. As stated the ones above are from an S4 saloon, as the Avant rears are different.

There are three styles of OEM leather seat for the B5: 'Normal', Sports (as above) and Recaros.

Reckon starting prices for a good condition set go £300, £400 and £700 respectively.

The problem with leather seats is that they can get in a poor state(ie: torn/hard/cracked/stained/etc) if they aren't cleaned and conditioned. There are a few sets out there that aren't worth anything.

Its a doddle to change steering wheels; I bought a Sport steering wheel as in the pic to replace the horrid 4-spoke SE one in my Avant.
Be careful which one you buy though, the earlier 3 spoke sport wheels had bigger 'dimples' in the plastic horn-push; the later ones (think late 98 ish onwards) had smaller dimples.
Do a search on steering wheel swap and you'll find several threads, think the rule is to disconnect the battery 30 minutes before you go anywhere near the airbag and not turn ignition on until after everything is re-connected up?
That way you should avoid any mis-haps like the airbag warning light coming on......it was a while ago that I did the swap so do check I've got it right though,lol.

Make sure you also get the right seats to suit you car as post facelift seats fit the pre-facelift car but the airbags wont work !!

They will, you just need a facelift connector (vagpart/dealer) and an earth cable running to the third pin which isn't on a pre-facelift.

You'll also need a 24mm socket to remove/refit the steering wheel. Most socket sets only go up to 22mm, so worth checking you have one.

sweet all sounds pretty straight forward, im used to sitting in recaro seats i drove s standard a4 last nite and nearly fell out the seat on cornering, so if i dont get leather im gonna need sports seats lol

have to getmyself to a brakers i think get see what they've got

is there an audi spears forum or anything like that 2nd hand parts seem to be pretty hard to come by

When I did mine I found there wasn't a conventional nut holding the wheel on , needed a splined bit to remove it.....think it was 12mm....?

4 Ring Spares in Doncaster is a good source; got my wheel (complete with airbag) from them via Ebay for the sum of £42 which was damn cheap as they normally seem to go for much more than that, perhaps I was just lucky........lol.

only going on what i was told on here when i wanted to fit facelift seats to my pre face lift car and was told it couldnt be done !!

i found a leather sport wheel for £70 posted on ebay came off an A6 but fitted my 98 A4 avant, then sold 4 spoke one for £50, was a 24mm socket to remove wheel, but you need a good quality star drive bit to remove airbag first, these screws are tight!!!! first bit i tried twisted before screw budged

They must've changed the fixing then later on ......mines a November '98 built pre-facelift and it has the splined-bit fastener, which came as a bit of a surprise as I had expected to find a conventional nut when doing the wheel swap..........
