Hi all,

We had bad rain with strong winds last night and this morning I found the bottom of the drivers side door (which was facing the wind) has leaked at the bottom seal. The footwell and floor matt is sodden.

Would you guys take this to be looked at, or put it down to the freak weather and just let the floor dry out?

Also, is the damp likely to cause any rusting of whatever metal is below the carpet?

Thanks

I'd be at the dealer demanding it was sorted immediately. Any modern car should easily withstand this kind of weather without leaking.

Might be the same as the notorious leak the 8p suffers with. It enters in down the window and drips on to the back of the speaker and runs out to the front and gets into the car that way.

Yes definitely get it checked out there should be at least 2 sealing barriers unless it's coming in through the door glass seals and there's a leak through to the door card as said above.

Thanks for the advice, booked in with Audi for tomorrow (along with a squeaky brakes check)
