Evening chaps,

As you know it's a common problem for pixels on the LCD display to deteriorate and true to form mine demonstrates exactly that.

I've seen on eBay that there's a repair service for £120 which I think is a little expensive.

Can anyone recommend a company that performs this repair but for cheaper?

Cheers.

How easy is it to remove instrument cluster? Removed one from our motorhome and was really easy but not sure on my 1998 A4

I know its an old thread, but yes you can remove the cluster easy, on my b5 I was used to dis, on my b7 I didnt have it so I added the stalk and coded dis, immediate washer lever warning. Soldered out something to neg, id have to look again, but that pin was the input. added hiline column ecu for cruise then bought an rns-e and a double din dash.

It’s tricky. You have to be fairly good at soldering with a decent soldering iron. I’ve done a few clusters myself. Try to not buy the cheapest replacement panel off eBay. They’re generally *****.
