Ok, I've had two black A3s so I'm wondering whether to get yet another or change. If I change then I quite fancy a deep grey metallic/pearlescent colour. I've seen one in the showroom in Meteor and it looked totally flat with no depth at all. This seems to leave either Lava or Tungsten. Can anyone with either of these colours post (or link me to) pics and give their honest opinion of the colour? Incidentally, I'm sure I've seen a Lava Grey car before and it looked a bit "brownish" from some angles in some lights - or am I imagining it?

Thanks :)

dolphin grey has and always be the best grey imho, though daytona is nice

Unfortunately they don't do Dolphin any more and I'm not paying £1700 to get it!

Seen Condor on an A6 and it's a bit too "light" - after something darker.

Old thread but it came up when I was looking to buy, so I will add to it.

This is tungsten pearl

When it is wet or raining it tends to look aemethyst / purple when it is sunny it flips to bronze, when it is sort of overcast it just appears grey. Audi don't even know what colour it is, they sent me Aemethyst touch up paint but it is Tungsten according to the VIN.

I miss this car I just wish it had full spec, didn't even have dimming mirror.
