Launch control limits on S4?

Is there a limit on how many times you can use the launch control for Audi to void the warranty if something went wrong?

This has been discussed a few times (queue BH to post the link to that discussion). I seem to remember the short answer was "no". It's in the handbook as something you can use and doesn't state any limits. However, if you use it all the time and it generates excessive wear and tear, then the dealers may be within their right to say you've not taken due care.


I've used it once to see how it worked, **** myself and then realised I'd probably never need to actually use it in normal ownership situations....so I'll probably never use it again.......it's not really there for gunning it away from the traffic lights on the ring road.

I believe, from what I've read that it will stop working after 200 launches.
There is a launch counter you can check in vcds

I have decided never to use my LC. I shall get a stage 2 (hopefully) before my warranty expires and so I don't want to put such extreme stress on my transmission. It's a shame as I have never experienced LC, but then there are plenty of other pleasures in life I have missed out on too...
