Batteries drain while ignitions are on and engines are off. Should get more than 10mins but it really depends on the vehicle. When coding all possible consumers should be turned off, radio, zircon, headlights etc etc. If you are needing to jump cars after a session then you should invest in a battery maintainer. I code loads of vehicles every day, on and off a maintainer and never need to jump vehicles, but I also monitor voltages.
