LANDSCAPES

This was about two weeks ago and one of the best displays in a long time. The sky lit up over a 30 minute period, so I hammered away at the shutter.
Bl@@dy freezing it was, as well..!

Hmmm, seem to have taken a wrong turn on the Isle of Raasay.

Aye, I thought it rang a bell. I was on holiday with the kids up there once in my then M reg A4 1.8.
Loved watching the jets from RAF Lossiemouth flying out to sea chasing each other.

Nothing incredible with my amateur skills but decided to get up this morning and head 80 miles to Boscombe Pier for sunrise. The weather was nice.... for like 10 minutes before it turned cloudy.... and then wet :( Got to love winter!

That's a nice shot. What filter did you use...? Gives a nice blur on the waves.
Thanks Jake.

I was using my Lee Big Stopper (10 stop ND). I do enjoy basically anything long exposure related as can be seen on my insta - https://www.instagram.com/oli_i94/ :)

I do wish I had the Little Stopper (6 stop) though as sometimes the 10 is just too much and its nice to see some movement in the water. Although I would also like a set of soft ND grads, only have hard ones at the moment..... always want more stuff haha =)

I do need to try and take some more pictures of my car though in scenic locations!

I though it was a Big Stopper, I must get one but all of my one's are Cokin P Type and it means changing the lot. Worth it though.
Can't have too many filters...lol.

Never really looked at Cokin ones. Have no issues with the Big Stopper, apart from the price of everything Lee make! Even the filter holders and adapters are pricey ..

Glass vs Polycarbonate, £17.00 vs £100.00. Even the Cokin Nuances 10 stop, which is glass, goes for silly money but at least it fits the £20.00 holder...lol.

The ND filters deffo seem to be something not to cheap out on... I bought a set of like 5? Grads from Amazon for like £20... Used them once and that was the end of that... Garbage! Colour cast that couldn't be fixed even in Lightroom.

I bought a Lee polariser too, which is another adapter that fits onto the normal holder. Found the thing so fiddly and awkward though, think I paid £130 and that was used! I sold it a few months later after it had seen daylight only a few times..

WHR Snowdonia

Nothing special but at the Croesfan Ynysfor crossing yesterday I tried to get both Mount Snowdon and the West Highland Railways Beyer-Garrett #NG130 (South African Railways) and WHR Pullman "Snowdonia" carriage in the same frame. I was happy (having spent so many £s over the years on camera equipment) with my old Samsung J5 camera phone, hope you agree

And our 2010 TT (NOT for sale) is a JOY to own/drive, too...
