Fantastic, there really are some stunning landscape photo's in this thread, proving the World hasn't all been concreted over just yet. :)

Great colours on the Coniston one. (Just a suggestion if you don't object. Get the horizon straight on the waters edge and you'll have a killer photo. Crop it to panoramic format, enlarge to about four feet wide, mount on canvas and sell to tourists)

Was out with the camera last week for the first time in six months, and been real lazy recently not uploading any photos. So...

I've taken your advice, straightened & cropped it to widescreen and it looks better. I never even noticed the water's edge wasn't straight until you mentioned it tbh! Thanks for the tip.

I'm not the best photographer, my pics tend to be more of a record to jog the memory! framing is not my strongest point so I tend to try to capture as much of a scene as possible, that way I can be fairly sure I've captured what ever it was that prompted me to take the picture in the first place. In the case of Coniston it was the whole landscape, and if the boat wasn't moving I'd have taken a proper panorama, as it was I had to make do with lots of quick shots instead - a pity because you can't feel the enormity of it in one shot.

Very nice Spooky. It looks familiar to me. :) x

I think it’s always good to have constructive criticism.
I will help anyone if I think I can, but I think when the day comes when im not learning something new, is the day I will stop enjoying it.

Two top photos again Steamship :icon_thumright:
I like this photo Artimus... :icon_thumright:

I have never been keen on that term 'constructive criticism'. To me, it implies that there is something wrong to which I'm criticising. But as Artimus says, he is not the best photographer and he takes photos as a record of his journeys. Pretty much like everyone else. I just like to think of it as a 'suggestion', as in what I personally see in the photo. You could take the 'Coniston' photo and make several very different photos from it.

Its the furthest northerly point on the Hebredes. What a fantastic place to visit, there isnt anything there at all but it is a naturally beautiful place

Stunning photos Blackie, :icon_thumright:
Iv enjoyed so many weeks traveling around Scotland, I was in Edinburgh this week.

Like what you did framing the Empire State Building within the Brooklyn Bridge. If the original image is a decent size, try cropping the bottom third off (the foreground steelwork) so that the bridge has a better impact.

I was up in Fort William during the week with work.
Here's the view off Ben Nevis from the yard. Sorry about the iPhone photo, it was all I had at the time. Awesome place.
