Use this thread to show off some of the stunning scenery that is close by you, or somewhere you have photographed on your travels.

This is me sitting on top of Goatfell on the Isle of Arran. It was taken a little over 3 years ago.

... and two Landscapes from the opposite side of the globe.

The Remarkables mountain range, near Queenstown, New Zealand. Any LOTR fans should recognise it.

Lake Tekapo, South Island, New Zealand with the Church of the Good Shepherd in the background.

Thanks for that. Those are just a sample of what I have lying around, although not many people get to see them.

"Salty dog and me..." (sorry, if you've not got young kids you probably won't have a clue what I'm on about).

Ace pics though! I'd love to live somewhere like that.

Nice vivid colours in the top photos Sidibear, very interesting photo’s for different reasons, but love the boat photo something to see in the entire picture. :icon_thumright:

The bottom photo is just to give you idea of scale of all the statues on the beach.

Wow ..some stunning pictures here. I remember being in Nairn (near Elgin?) as an 8 year old on holiday (from Coventry) with a friends' family. Lovely place.

Panorama from the top of White Horse Hill in Oxfordshire (Looking North)

for some reason it won't upload to the site, so flickr it is.

Spooky, the church on top of the hill in the boat pic was where the photo above the boat pic was taken, Etretat in France, Monet did a painting there.
The first two pics are tone mapped to bring out the full dynamic range.

Good selection of photos Sidibear. There's something about the sixth photo (barbed wire and traps) that I find appealing.

In the background you can see the landscape (field, trees and brick chimney), but tell me what you see in the foreground (if anything). Look at it from a distance.

Ok, i will go first it looks like a ghostly face, i will go to specsavers i think. :) x

It was 'spooky' that prompted it, with their username. BTW No Photoshop trickery involved. It's what the camera took.
