Ktec custom map or Revo stg 1?

Hi guys, newb here. Picked up my 2006 2.0t quattro sport about a month ago had full service and due to be booked in for cam belt change aswell, after thats done and i know its running sweetly i want it mapped.
I live in Bournemouth and been recommended 2 garages/tuners, the first is APD in Wareham, Vag specialists and Revo dealers, the second is Ktec racing they are renault tuners with a very good rep round here and are offering me a bargain of £295 to map my 3.
Ktec are gonna be about half the price of the revo remap but i might be able to do a deal with the other work that needs doing with APD, what do you guys think would be the better option?

Revo were my choice,for the backup and upgrade path,plus the knowledge base on that software.

So far I've been very happy with it and they're offering 10% off this month.

Revo all the way. Ktec specialise in Renault for a reason and Revo specialise in VAG cars so rather go with the company that specialises in your vehicle.

Cheers guys i have been steering towards APD and Revo, just found out Revo are offering 10% plus a FREE SPS switch, think thats made my mind up

I use APD - great guys and great service. 10% off Revo atm with free SPS i believe. I'm hoping to go stage 2 whilst this offer is on. Revo stage 1 tranforms the car fella, you won't regret it.

I ran REVO stage 1 on a MK5 Golf (same engine as yours) and it was a night and day transformation.
Amazing bang for buck and makes the car real world quick.

I spoke to APD yesterday and im booked in for everything for next saturday their doing the rear brakes, new brake fluid, cam follower, cam belt and water pump swap and mapping same day.
These guys really know their stuff and are really helpful and friendly, im gonna be joining JtotheD in using these guys going forward.

JtotheD looking at the REVO website i dont think the offer is on stage upgrades buddy?

well that sucks. lol nvm. random and short notice but a few of us from this area are meeting up this sunday at beaulieu if you're interested? I can show you what difference stage 1 makes then too! haha

Minstadave its £499 plus Vat, with the 10% off at the mo its about £538.92 but you do get the SPS switch which are £99 new for free

If im around JtotheD i might be up for that currently got plans but that could change, id love a taste of stage 1

Hi guys just thought id give you a quick update, it went in on saturday and i cant be more impressed with the guys at APD really know their stuff and i would recommend them any day!
The guys also identified a dodgy cam follower that Poole Audi failed to even check depite me asking them and them charging me £108 for being useless!
So untill the sps switch arrives and the follower is done they've dialled down the boost and made the timing retarded to be safe once the follower is done they are gonna dial it up but even now what a difference! Pulls like a train!! If your thinking about stage 1 just do it!.............

I'm thinking about getting my 1.8Tfsi done with APD. Shame i need to wait till iv done a few more miles. Don't wanna kill my engine!!
