Knocking 02J

I have posted in here several times about my issue with the 02J gearbox.

Now i have a factory brand new 02J, and a new OEM clutch, and the issue persist. The old one had a hole in it.

The symptoms are occasional knocking when going second gear, and a slight crunchy sound when going third. Both happen before i let go off the clutch.

The sounds are identical to my old gearbox, and my gearbox doesnt feel "new", at all.

Any ideas as to what this issue could be? It is literally sucking out all the joy from driving the car.

Small update: I did a full linkage adjustment, and the knocking seems to have been greatly reduced. It still does it occasionally, but nowhere near as often as before. No idea why it does it to begin with.

Have you checked your gearbox side and lower dogbone engine mounts?

I had this problem, but after fitting a powerflex red diesel dogbone bush, new gearbox mount and setting up the linkage. shifts are now precise and drag free.

I did change the dogbone a month ago. Didnt help anything.
