Key went into the washing machine

Hei guys,

So, I've got a problem now, as the title says I've forgot my key in my jeans and after that the jeans went into the washing machine.

Now the key won't work anymore although I've changed the better, I believe the motherboard is fried.

So what to do, what to do?

By not working I assume you mean it doesn't lock/unlock via the buttons?

Have you tried re-syncing it?

Yeah, the lock/unlock buttons aren't working anymore. When I got it out of the washing machine for the first time, it worked from the buttons, but after that it died.

No..What's "re-syncing" and how do I make this procedure?

A previously synced key, you should be able to unlock the door with the key manually then push the lock or unlock button on the fob afterwards and it should re-sync. I've done it that way when I've changed the batteries in the key before.
Or it might need syncing using vcds if it's lost it's memory all together or it can also be done using a second key in the ignition, and the key you want to sync in the door lock, I can't remember the procedure doing it that way off hand though.
