How did you get Audi to swap your tyres for nothing????!?!?!?!?!?!?
They didn't they just gave me 4 new alloys and put the old tires on!
OK ... .....How did you get Audi to give you 4 new alloys?
Can these be repaired ?
I have literally never scuffed an alloy on any of my cars!! ....Its going to have 2 new tyres fitted tonight and I was all ready to tell the garage "DO NOT SCUFF THESE ALLOYS.....THEY ARE SPOTLESS" lol

If they do it should have an 18 rating....(horror)...lolFeel for you..I have just had one refurbed, and got another with a minor curb that I decided to leave for now as got a feeling it will get a brother or sister soon.
Seems particularly bad problem on A3 s-line or S3's due to combination of 18" rims, diamond cut alloys and poor rim protection from standard tyres.

Yes they can be repaired. Price varies but factor for circa £120-140 a wheel and you will be ball park for a true diamond cut repair. Repair can take 2-3 days and u will loose use of the car.
Some mobile chaps can repair for £40-60 which is doable dependent upon damage, where they blend in the outer edge but that wont be a perfect repair but in many cases will pass the glance test. Bonus is repair is done within hour or two and you keep use of the car.. You might be able to go down this route as the damage is light.
Dependent upon where u live best place to start is probably back with the dealer.
As with most things, its a balance of your personal finances as well as your time and lack of use with the car.
Damm those diamond cut wheels... They look so nice but are such a pain!!

I'm puzzled that you say you lose use of the car. My wheel got buckled recently in a pothole and I got it fixed at a local place. I just took the wheel in and kept the spare on the car.
That's very true, but it should be fine to keep you going while the wheel is fixed.Use the spare...you mean the space saver wheel....that's solely meant to just get you home, and not to be used as a spare wheel?
Sods law with getting wheels repaired though...
I scuffed all 4 of mine about 1 month into ownership (yep, just...don't ask). I gave it 2 months and I didn't have any kerb incidents - thought "yeah, I think I'm alright now...time to get them repaired". Got all four repaired at a substantial cost and kerbed the front right a week later and the front left a few weeks after that.
Since then I haven't had an incident. Now I'm thinking it's time to get them repaired.
I can see the cycle I'm going to end up in.
I know you said don't ask..........................but hey it's me, so I'm asking!! lol
How the hell are you managing to kerb so many wheels?
My memory is a blurry on what happened, your honour.
But essentially I kerbed the two right-side wheels with a dodgy reverse park. Reversed into a granite kerb and scratch the back right wheel, then went forward and did the front right.
The left back was done with another reverse park (funnily enough...same ****** granite kerb). The front left was more vicious - I pulled out of a driveway while turning sharp left and managed to get one of the spokes resting on the edge of a dropped kerb...I saw a gap in traffic and accelerated hard...

Ha - perfect reaction. Pretty much my face when I saw the damage...
Yeah I can imagine. Tell you what your a braver man than me I don't think I'd have owned up to that lot.......................and in recognition of your bravery I've decided not to subject you to the inevitable Stevie Wonder gags.........lol
