You have to push forward on the indicator stalk and it will give you the high beam signal and 'AUTO' next to it to show that they're active.

You can pull back/forward in some combo to get them back off auto if you're wanting. :)

I loved the extended interior light package, they seemed to have the brightness turned down when I first went into the menu so it's worth playing around with the settings a bit. And the sill plates are illuminated! :)

Cheers @Daggerit
You clearly know your onions and have done way more reading/research than me!
All my test drives were during the day so didn't bother playing with lighting ...that's my excuse

It's a fair excuse! Haha.

I only know because I had an overnight the drive and that was one of the main things I wanted to test. :)

I think that I've fairly abused all the options that I've had the chance to see in the flesh... Lol.

Just dropped the car off at the detailers
So slumming it on the train home!
Great run down the motorway this morning
Car is effortless to drive and a great cruiser
80 miles done, average speed 56 mph and 32.5 mpg. Picking up on a Sunday so will post pics then, hopefully the rain will have stopped by then.

@Keef, the average mpg on B9s is really impressive.

Effortless is a good word. I know, man! Gorgeous all week then miserable today in time for weekend.

Well I’m just over 12 months in and approaching 9k miles, so thought a little update was in order.
Apart from having my side windows smashed, happy to report 12 months of pretty uneventful motoring!

Car has been great so far and no faults or issues to speak of.
I use my car every day and still find it an effortless cruiser yet still entertaining enough for me.

I’m on fixed servicing, so car is booked in for first oil service at the end of the month.
Dealers quoted me £265, but when I asked for a discount, without even hesitating they said they can do 10% off.

I was happy with this, but then I decided to give the price match route a go, there’s not many independent VAG garages by me but found a
place 10 miles away who kindly provided a written estimate – dealer agreed to match…£130 Result!
I also have a £30 credit on file with my dealers so will be utilising that as well.

Post service, my car is booked in at my ‘not so local’ detailers for a refresh / maintenance wash.

Not much else to say really, I toyed with the idea of changing the S4 for an SQ5 back in January, but have since gone away from that.
I’ve not update my ‘Audi Sport experience’ post as yet, but it was a great day – finally got a drive in an RS4 and although I really liked it,
It didn’t feel radically quicker than my S4, well sufficiently to justify another £15k – that said I’ve always wanted an RS4

Thats it folks, untill the next 12 months....

@Keef how have you found getting to grips with all the new tech compared to your B8.5? Anything that you've found is absolutely awesome compared to the B8.5?

@scotty76 i guess I’ve adapted ok, I’m a sucker for new tech. It’s all an improvement and quiet intuitive but I wouldn’t describe any particular feature as awesome.
Have to say I still miss the supercharger!

Time for a update! not the happiest one I'm afraid...

My car is at the dealers today having new keys programmed and locks changed.
A couple of weeks ago now, on my usual commute home from work.
A gang tried to take the S4 off me at the train station car park.

I'm not going into detail as the police are still looking into it!
I'm absolute fine, they didn't get the car but got the key....long and on reflection, somewhat funny story.

Although I'm thinking more rationally now then I was at the time, its made me the question the whole nice car ownership
and if its worth it..this has annoyed me more than the actual event!

im also left with a large bill (wasn't worth claiming on the insurance) so have begrudgingly I have returned the Tuning box I recently purchased...still unfitted! im gutted about this but need the funds to cover my other expense.

I guess I jinxed it by stating 'pretty uneventful motoring' in my last update!

Glad you're alright mate. I hate this. I mean I genuinely ******* hate this crap! Scum. Tread softly and carry a big stick. You shouldn't have to look over your shoulder. Hope Police (yeah, right...) sort it. For others' sake too.

That's not good Keef, the problem of the criminal fraternity wishing to acquire a nice motor is something that effects us all - glad you are OK though.

Thanks all

I’m ok and wasn’t injured- just drastically out of breath from giving chase.

The station I drive to is about half way so a good 20 mile from home

Still rethinking my journey

Definitely mate. Beef up physical security/deterrents and even do counter surveillance haha. I would...what the hell happened to the good old Police 'Sting' OP? Lure them in. Knick them. Simple. Honestly.

Glad to hear that mate.

It is always a good idea to change your route on your daily no matter what. I have also one horrible experience that I wouldn't like to go into the details of here but it better to rethink and use as many alternative routes as possible. And maybe change the timings as well...

They are under real pressure mate, you don't know the priorities and the stress a front line officer goes through in their shifts. That's not to say they are all saints but my opinion of them has changed in the last few years ...

I was informed, when they performed this on my car when it was serviced in october that it was a recall. Also in the audiworld forum as well...

I'm on about the highers mate. Not the lads on the beat. where policy is created. Big shift away from prevention and capture to give someone a crime number and let insurance pay out. Counter productive.
