K04-064 with large port?

I'm building a 1.8t for DD (with K04-064 and anti surge CHRA) and want to concentrate on low down driveability and area under the torque curve.

Is it worth going for a large port AGU head for this? Or am I better off sticking with a small port?

Any advice much appreciated,

You are better off with a small port head with VVT.

for best early onset of torque, smallport is your optimum..

Hopefully picking up (a third!) head next week with cam caps in good nick.

I'm planning on new exhaust guides and valves and that's about it for this build. Recommend anything else for (a not high revving) top end build?
