Just Ordered S1 - Used to Own S3 8L

I used to frequent this forum a while back when I had my S3 8L (actually had 2 of them!). However, since spending the last 18 months changing cars (last 13 months I've owned a 2014 Fiesta ST MP215) I've ordered a new Audi S1 in Brilliant black.

Thought I'd say hello, as soon as it arrives I'll post up some pics. Estimated delivery end of September, so not too long really. Just got to sell my Fiesta now!

Similar to me! Ordred a Mythos black s1 and held out rite to the point of picking up to sell my car. Had both cars for 1 day in total but I do think I panicked a bit and sold myself short in the end.

S1 is class, great fun, had it for a few weeks now and all I will say is its a nightmare colour to keep clean!

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of doing, so going to stick it up for sale in about 3 weeks time and use my motorbike for work instead.

I can't wait to get it! I'm used to cleaning my car every week but yeah, never had black before so I'm sure im in for some hard work!

Couple of months, ordered in May and picked up at the very tail end of June. Tracker is torture, still says mine is on the way even though I have had it for over 2 weeks so take that information with a pinch of salt.

I'm still yet to get my order number from the dealer so as soon as i've got that I'll be all over that tracker!

3 door, brilliant black, 18" alloys, flat bottom steering wheel, arm rest, cruise, privacy glass, high gloss styling pack. One or two others but I can't remember them now!

Update, build week 38. So the dealer is saying it's likely to be October I'll get it. So long!

How likely is it that a build week gets moved forwards?

Pretty likely when I was following a build thread on the a3 or a4 part of the forum pretty much all the build weeks were getting moved forward.

And when they say build week for me it was a build day. Logged on at the start of the week and it was in quality control. Transport to dealer took the most time.

Nice one, think I'll put my car up for sale in two weeks time is. And have my fingers crossed the build date moves forwards, as no doubt when I start using my motorbike to go to work on in the mean time the weather will turn crappy!

Update on the order - it has moved to 'preparation'.

How long, in your experiences, does it take from preparation to start the building, i.e. Panel shop etc etc. ??
