I was in the market for an S4 but everytime i went to look at one i found myself lusting over the RS's. I can't wait to find out all of the ins and outs. I think i got good spec: Sports package with steering, exhaust and suspension Black styling Memory seats and mirrors Panoramic roof High audi connect Anyone Hertforshire or essex based?
Nice one Dean; just bought myself an RS5, so I`m new to RS as well mate. It appears to be Daytona Grey, same as mine ? Anyway mate, a beauty, nice one !
Hi Dean, nice car. Hope you enjoy. If you go down to the small events section and in the south east you will find local members. X
Yes Daytona Grey, that and sepang blue are my favourites. I cant wait but have to until friday as it is getting new brakes
Bummer, cant wait to get involved. I used to run an owners club years ago and have missed it through years of boring diesel ownership
There will be other events coming up soon. Do you know audi's in the park is this weekend. It's the biggest audi only event in the calendar. We have club stand at that and the club BBQ with a free burger for members of the forum
I just clocked that but i am off to wales for some surfing. Thanks for the head's up though Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Thanks mate. I'm a bit nervous about all these carbon build up stories but apart from that i am super excited! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
That's easy enough. I'll probably stick a catch can on it early doors to stop the worst of it. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Pretty sure yes, black tips and you can change the noise via drive select Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Thanks mate, been a long week waiting. It needed new brakes that were on back order. Get it Friday Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Gorgeous example What finance deal did you get if you dont mind me asking? Im looking to upgrade from my S4 but Audi APR is very very steep for used RS4s. Enjoy!
I only financed 10k of it and it come in at 7%. Good dealer deposit contribution too and all the extras like tyre imsurance, gap, smart repair in the deal from them Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Hi. Woah. You must have had a pretty big deposit then? Even so, 7% is superb for a used model. What was mileage, list price and deposits if you don't mind me asking? Cheers
It's here! Very happy man Anyone know how to make the mirrors fold when you lock it, beep when you lock it or where you enter the my audi pin in the mmi?
Figured out the mirrors. Vcds for the chirp when locking i guess. Just my audi for google desinations i need to sort now Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Just saw this and recognise the Audi dealer. I'm from Colchester but work at Land Rover in Stortford. I'll keep an eye out for you although probably never going to be on the roads at the same time as you. p.s. I'm in the boring diesel ownership for the time being.... :S
I'd have a diesel if i did colchester to stortford and back each day! That would be half a tank for me Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Looks great @DeanoC , almost identical spec to mine!!! Mines black with piano black inlays apart from that its identical. The only thing I haven't got is the ACC which I see you haven't either. Mines now on 35000 miles in 21 months and i've done all of them and still I love the car.
Very nice! Yea i wouldn't spec ACC or lane control if it was new. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
I would, I wish I had. I had a demo vehicle from VW a couple of weeks ago with ACC and its a stunning addition for those who use CC all the time like I do. It really works well on long journeys. I am starting a new business venture whereby I am buying two new vehicles and ACC has become a must have as we'll be doing a lot of miles. My B9 RS4 will definitely have it also when I swap out the B8.5.
Yea i can imagine it's cool if you use CC. I never do. I'm a purist and bought this car precisely because it's a drivers car without comprise to emissions or fuel efficiency or low down torque etc. For me a load of aids detract from the experience. I see the logic of having them so you can choose to use them but i never would. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Loads of aids distract? You bought the wrong spec then, you are short of feel with the dynamic steering which cannot be turned off only adjusted, it takes a little getting used to. I do 18k+ a year in mine, I want all the aids which I can turn off when I dont want them. Also, compared to my C63 and M3 the B8.5 RS4 is sorely lacking in torque, it has to be wound up to get the best out of it. Don't get me wrong, I love it as an all year round car. Compared to my B7 RS4 its not as driver focused either. I am hoping the torque will return in the B9 RS4, if not it'll be an RS6 next or back to the C63 or what ever its called then.
"Detract" as in i like to be in total control. I hear you though. This is my first performance car so i only have diesel company cars to compare against. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
