Congrats on the new purchase. The M2 is a seriously great looking car and one I would strongly consider getting myself if back in the market to replace our S1. A guy a few doors down from me has one with all the trimmings and it sounds glorious.
Slightly off topic went car shopping yesterday with me wee mum, she loves her cars..... So the new fiesta ST line 1.0 ecoboost stunning it was they had a 3 door metallic black one in stock with massive 18" alloys on it privacy glass lovely inside as well, we then got speaking with the sales guy....... A fly man may l add, won't go into that though, my point is the new fiesta has terrible terrible standard equipment l thought Audi's where bad the new fiesta smokes em, no rear parking sensors or front no sat nav of any sort at all, folding door mirrors nadda this car was £20,000 Privacy was a option as was the alloys. It's the same old same old, Ford bring out a newer model and leave it basic in its first year of production Audi do this as well, when the 8v first came out it had a rediculous low standard spec a *prison cell * oops sorry.... Had more comfort in it lol Going to shop about next week for a nicely specced one with a discount chap on Carwow is offering £2k off the desired spec so will wait and see
Thanks! I can't actually think of a time where I've seen one on the road recently at all - hardly see any! Aha, I had a couple of Fiesta's (Mk6) and a Focus ST much like yourself, I liked them (especially the focus) but like you say they didn't really have many toys (or the availability to spec them even sometimes). I was considering a mustang this time but a few things put me off such as interior quality, long wait and possibly bad handling (if the 2017 was anything to go by)
Mustang there's a couple in stock up here in Hamilton ready to go mate..... Ungainly from most angles except from full on front and rear and residuals terrible, you've made a awesome choice, Jordan loves his M4 although in this weather you don't dare use that power nowhere near it or you'll end up in a very strange place indeed lol its them fancy Michelin tyres not worth a monkeys in the cold weather but sound is immense better than a RS3 the M2 sounds just as good especially when it's cold
They are good looking little cars, my girlfriend is looking at them as her DS3 PCP ends in a few months. The below example is pretty well spec’d. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201712182129163?atmobcid=soc4
That's a stunning little car with a cracking spec, most dealers on Carwow will give you a £1200 automatic discount on a spec like that car but one dealer is a £2100 discount way more
Ha yeah the monthlies were coming out crazy high on a 'Stang due to the residuals. I'm really hoping I get Michelin PSS! Apparently it isn't guaranteed and some people on the forums say you could get those or contis, whatever it turns up with I really want the Michelin lol And yeah many actually say the M2 sounds better as it gets the older N55 engine, the M3/M4 get the S55 that the new M2 Competition will have to have (for emissions reasons they have to stop the N55 after August 2018 I think). N55 and it's power delivery is also the more usable/fun engine on the road. S55 is for the modders who want loads of power as they should be easily able to get it back to M4 power territory as it's just that detuned.
would loooooooove to see this be the next RS3.....kindof tired of the restrained looks.....keep those for all the other models I say....
I think this is the only Mustang worth considering (GT 350/350R)....it is meant to be pretty awesome (engine, handling...interior not so good....)
I have not been called a bampot for many years , but it does run in the family. Here is a pic of cousin Jack playing in a maze with his axe. I would not buy a Mustang in the U.K. ...parts, service etc.
Although I like the drama of an American muscle car, I'm not a fan of the overall package due to the poor quality interiors etc. If I had to chose one available in the uk, I actually prefer the looks of the Camaro to the Mustang. But I'd probably restrict my driving experiences to holiday rentals in reality.
Have a good handover mate, hopefully it all goes smoothly and there’s no issues. Don’t forget pics of the outside, inside, dials, gear-lever, indicator stalk, badges, seats, windows..... You know we love a good car photo!
I encourage everybody to try the V8 mustang though, I was really impressed by the car and I had pretty low expectations. Not much longer will we have the option of V8 grunt in a moderately priced package. OK the interior is not as good as good Euro interiors however the noise, grunt, responsiveness, power etc was pretty impressive. With the upgraded motor(444bhp) for this year there is a lot of umph for your £. The next M2 is on my list when my current S3 either breaks or I bend it. Very nice motor, enjoy it.
Ha thanks @jassyo06... Can't work out the wording as it's blurry but I can see a big figure in the bottom right lol A couple of pics as promised! Edit: will add them later from the computer as its complaining about size from my phone...
Well! I,m truly disappointed........Spent at least 5 minutes reading through this post..................Hoping to find pics???? Where are they?? C'mon @azibux1 get your **** in gear..
Ahhh! They threw it in free for me. But if I was to buy, cheapest I could get the spoiler was £350 so every little helps! £231 splitter sounds interesting to finish off the front end... Shame it isn't gloss to match the grilles. Could always get it sprayed by a bodyshop I guess. Will have to try and find a pic of it. Seems better value than the £600 for the small carbon corners on the front
I actually put an order in for a Focus ST line before opting for another A3 and I’m glad I chose the latter. Ford’s just aren’t in the same league in terms of quality compared to an Audi. They just aren’t. I like the new Focus, but I like the new A3 much more.
Both are 6 year old car models soon to be replaced but the perceived build quality between both ain't that far apart in my opinion having owned both cars
Exactly that. The plastics remind me of those tacky 1980’s kids toys, cheap and brittle, much like those massively overrated Range Rovers, cheaply made sh!te. There aren’t many cars that better an Audi interior.
Matey I have to disagree, the Audi is miles apart in terms of quality compared to a Ford. Compre the interiors of both, the Audi is a clear winner.
Yeah your paying far far more for that quality/Badge but they ain't that far apart in terms of real build quality based on price, l could buy a fully loaded focus ST3 for the price of a 1-5 litre s-line sportback easily, Audi car prices are a ****** joke now
