Evening Chaps,

Perhaps a stupid question, but don't ask, don't learn!

Is it safe to Jump start another car (1.0 Micra) with a FL 1.4 TFSI (Misses A3)

Brother-in-laws car has died while being on holiday and asked for a jump in the morning.

I've jumped with older cars, but this isn't going to cause any other problems with the cars systems?

Anyone done it previously?

Thanks in advance,
Mitch

As above no problems doing that. Just double double check the polarity before you connect the leads up.

Just because the amount of electronics on the cars these cars.
Didn't think it would be a problem but better to be safe than sorry when dealing with these things

I bet even a dinky 1.2 engine will be able to start an RS3 or even an R8. Your only jump starting a battery. Nothing to do with the engine size my friend.

Yes you do need to be really careful because if you screw it up with wrong sequence you can fry the cars electronics

It all went fine gents.

I like the addition of the grounding point near the battery for you to clip on to.
