Got my 2nd A6 4 years ago and at the time wanted a fully loaded A7 soooo badly, but couldn't afford one - yesterday I picked up that dream car. A7 Black Edition in Daytona Grey, car has tech pack advanced, and air suspension... oh and it's the 3.0 BiTDI - loving it so far, will get some more pics when the weather is better

Any suggestions for light mods are welcome, was looking at the cete suspension module, maxton splitter and skirts, possible RS7 rear conversion - but would prefer S7 if I can find a diffuser with tailpipes (seem out of stock everywhere), also spacers - what is everyone else running?

Cete and spacers 1st, if it were me... Congrats on the purchase

hold back on spacers if you are thinking of changing wheels anytime soon incase your new wheels change offset and end up requiring you to reduce or add spacer size

an example
bought my car with mad aftermarket 20" vossen deep dish copy wheels with big hub centric spacers and extra long wheel bolts to suit .

i didnt like the look of wheels and knew i was gonna change them first so sold the wheels and spacers and bolts as a package to another a7 owner

i got 21" original audi rotors (with A8 / Bentley etc higher profile size tyres) and will get them refurbed and with new correct profile tyres when spring arrives

then lower car and space wheels
then get tcu tune in that order

I’d like new wheels as I’ve had this design for 4 years on my A6s, but I’ll probably stick to A7 OEM wheels

Nice clean looking car :thumbs up:

Keep an eye on eBay for alloys, there are some bargains out there for the taking.

Ive purchased from this seller in the past: ideal-reifen-com

Thanks John... first port of call is trying to find some replacement Audi rings in black for the front and back

finding ebay ones is proving impossible... chinese like to say anything will fit anything... i have some black rings from my avant here that are the right size but the clips don't line up exactly

Finally found a set on eBay that claim to be the right size... fingers crossed

that optimism was short lived, front logo had clips in all the wrong places, seller is refusing to help so waiting for paypal to intervene!

Big thanks to Crewe Audi for sorting my new boot liner and front winter mats :)

Hi mate and welcome to the family.
I've had my 12 plate BiTDI since Feb last year and I love it. Came from a hot hatch and needed a bigger, comfier car and the A7 ticks all the boxes.

I have the full Maxton kit, H&R spacers (15mm rear & 12mm Front), H&R spring lowering kit, Kufatec sound booster, tints all round, dechrome, XenonzUK RS7 Grill. Bobby Singh Tuned with a Darkside Developments intercooler & intake hose.
S7 6 pot calipers just about to go on too!

I'll be looking at spacers after I get the Cete lowering module, don't wanna widen and then find out I can't slam it

Are the S7 brakes direct fitment, I thought they might be the same? Audi should be fitting new pads and discs all round for free this week, so I may as well eat them up first before thinking about upgrades

Going to look at the maxton stuff, you got any pics of yours?

There is info on here somewhere about his, try searching it mate. The S6/S7 (and i think the S8) 6 pot calipers are plug and play (if you have the cariers etc) I have read. @RAF_S7 has extensive knowledge and has helped me out no end. Be aware, if you need extra bits and bobs that don't come with the calipers you buy, don't expect cheap - most bits are Audi only!

Good idea on the spacers, I am waiting to space my front wheels out a touch more, just waiting to find some nice wheels but i can't decide what.

Here are some Tarty pics of mine, head over to Instagram @that_grey_car for more!

Car is looking good Andy, the short plate on the rear makes it stand out some.

I ++may++ have an S7 grill in my garage if you want to tart up the front :footy:

Can’t decide if I wanna leave the front and rear, copy s7 or copy rs7... I had an s6 style grille on my A6 saloon and it was a nightmare to clean

Is yours black or chrome?

Chrome.

Black edition wasn’t an option when I purchased it. I did my own BE version :racer:

Everything chrome on the car will be gone soon... hoping I can wrap the exhaust tips as buying the competition ones in black isn’t cheap!

Wrapping the exhaust tips, you sure? I'd paint them, probably with Hamerite spray ( prepping before hand , obv ).

It’s going to the wrappers to have the rear lights tinted and the fronts done in ppf (as there are worth as much as the rest of the car!)

I’ll see what they say, the tips aren’t really part of the exhaust so not sure how hot they get

Engine bay is looking fantastic! Now it is all super clean, does this mean it is ready for some engine mods?

All under warranty now, might get the darkside air pipe as at least it adds something to the look... suspension is first on my list and then saving for some bigger wheels

Ah okay, are you going for springs / coilovers / bags? If springs, I'd recommend H&R.

Here is a pic showing the Darkside intake hose - not sure it does anything other than look different.

I doubt it does anything, but it does look a lot nicer!

I'm on factory bags, so just need an additional module to tinker with it ;)

Just a cheapo one that was in Aldi, it’s good for small jobs only and probably rubbish, but for shifting grease in hard to reach spots it gets the job done
