Jetex DCAF Kit

Any cone filter in the engine bay, even with a heat shield will be sucking in hot air so is performance downgrade. On a remapped mkiv 1.8T Golf I had it actually lost 6bhp on the dyno with a cone filter & heat shield compared to the standard filter & air box! You would be much better sticking a decent panel filter in the OEM air box or going CAI.

So the plastic air box won't heat up then making the standard box hot and suck in warm air anyway
 
In case you didn't know, cold air is denser than warm air hence lower intake temps which means better combustion. Apologies if you already know this.:undwech:
