i know this has been covered a few times but it's starting to annoy me now.
It's always been like this but it's recently had its handed series and dsg service and seems to be worse, I've been trying to understand why it does it!

There seems to be issue between releasing the foot brake and pressing the gas pedal, but I still can't understand what the issue is or how best to set off.

It's really stopping me from enjoying driving it!

Any ideas anyone ?

I'm thinking now it's a connection with the Audi hill assist that might be the issue. Lift off the brake and if you hit the accelerator too quick it causes the jerky setting off

Mine is a little jerky when cold, starting off first thing in the morning. Start it up, reverse off the drive, it's ok, go into D and the accelerator has to be pressed a little to move forward. When warm or hot it's all ok, get a bit off creep when stationary as you should. I think it works similar to the old style gearboxes in that respect by pumping oil into the hydraulic valves to fill them up.
If yours hesitates and doesn't do as it should when warm, then you have a problem. Specialist or Audi diagnosis required I'm afraid.

You can reduce the revs at which hill hold releases the car using VCDS. Perhaps it's set to normal or high? Mines set to low.

Probably not of any help, just to clarify its a common thing.. I've a Golf R now and the dsg on that is the exact same.. So annoying..!

I have the same issue but seems to come and go, I find its more frequent when driving around town centres, it only happens at low speeds.

From what I have been reading it is a characteristic of the DSG gear box.

If anyone resolves this with VCDS can you update please.

any news regarding this matter guys. Did anything help i have been having this problem for months and months i was thinking clutch pack... would love to cure it... really spoils the car

Mines going in for service so I'll ask then, I think it's a little better if you press the gas pedal at the top instead of from the middle some how. But that could be me over analysing it.
I know what you mean about it spooking the car though, it's the one bad thing about it.
