Ive Had Enough Can Anyone Help

Hi all

I havent been on here for a little while (out of being too annoyed at my audi mainly)

But my piston ring recently went, so i spend roughly £700 getting the head remanufactured the rings re done the only thing that wasnt done was the bottom end! after running it for a little while it was still burning coppious amounts of oil! Then it Went Bang! I am stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment is anyone able to maybe offer advice as to what the best option is but i am currently looking for a used engine 1.6 AVU if you know anyone?????????????/

honestly this car (as much as i love it) has caused me more problems than any car i have had before (including m y ford escort lol)

who did the repair? What exactly went bang? Sounds as if the repair wasn't done correctly.

did they bore out the block with new pistons or did they use drop ins?? what is the mileage of the engine? have you had a look at just buying a second hand engine? 1.6 AKLs AVUs go for cheap.

Well we used drop in's but not before honing the bores ofcourse! I am looking for AVU engines but the cheapest i have had so far is £350. To be honest i have already spent £700 and got no where so want to save whatever money i can!

I absolutly Despise this car at the moment can anyone maybe say or do something to make me love her again! ?!

Fire it and wait for the insurance money to come... Then buy an S3 simpels

Oh my days i would love todo it but the book price of it and having no car whilst waiting for the money would **** me off. Wouldnt get enough for S3. And i dont think i could do it! or pay someone todo it to her bless her lil rubber socks she dont deserve to burn to death! but if i do decide todo that then i will certainly get the old swade seats and interior stuff out to sell an letevery one know
