I kept swing then thought Revo. 20 mins driver me plus I can go stage 2 if needed :))
You only live once! The power valve exhaust I have is amazing. Such a sweet note from the exhaust which compliments the speed of the car

hows your stage 1

Ah missed the bit about your exhaust, nice! Get a video up with some sound - I toyed with exhaust but decided to plow the money into stage1+ and the accompanying bits first. :)

Not sure if this is expected but my car seems to sound far better now since the remap. It sounded slightly different post intake / filter but since the remap it sounds even better - really meaty/fat (could just be my mind playing tricks). Took the brother in law out shortly after I picked the car up and he was holding the handles and dashboard for dear life :D

Hi @andyay123 - I am pleased to meet someone who is more indecisive than me! :)

No I'm not.

Yes I am.

Nice andy, how does it sound? Change the characteristics of the car in anyway when it comes to driving it?

I think I'm going to get the rear diffuser painted gloss black on mine and get some black audi rings for the rear, too (to match the other black edition features). I'll likely stick with chrome tail pipes for now - see how they look against black diffuser.

My tail pipes are mostly fairly black too... :)

The great thing about having a monsoon grey car is that the colour of the rear diffuser matches perfectly!

I will def have my rear diffuser painted Matt black.
The exhaust is awesome. And I mean awesome. Not sure yet if it has changed the way it drives however the way it sounds is certainly changed the characteristics. My wife doesn’t notice anything has changed unless I boot it. No drone inside the cabin.
Oh boy when my foot goes down it just brings a smile to my face. I cannot fault the exhaust from Nige at Powervalve. £865 all in with black ceramic

Nearly swung back to getting Celtic installed but then realised with a Revo map the garage will take my car out prior to installing the map to ensure nothing is wrong with my car. That in itself seems paying the extra £600 worth it.
Celtic £250
Revo £850

Argh!!! i am so indecisive

But will they also do before and after rolling road power runs?

No.
Revo specialist doesn’t have a dyno but did say they will take it out before and after to ensure everything is working ok

If they don't have a dyno how can they show the improvement after the map? Do you just take their word for it? What do you get for £850?

I think for £850 i would want something more tangeable than a feeling that the car is faster. Would be worth having the car dyno'ed before and after the remap.

A rolling road isn’t really nesisary revo and all these other company’s have Tried tested and proved these maps so the figures are there on paper of what you are buying

It’s a generic s4 map from them not a custom one so there’s nothing to set up on a rolling road it’s just a case of putting on the map and away you go

And you’ll deff notice :smilingimp:

Steering wheel looks and more importantly feels great. Transforms the experience

Front bumper has RS grill however I messed up. Should of told garage to put number plate lower and also to remove the rings!!!!
Gutted

Not sure that's strictly true - I say this because I thought the same until I asked the tuners who were set to work on my car... being impatient i wondered whether I could just rock up and get stage 1 (thinking it was a plug and play jobby taking all of 2 mins) whilst waiting 3-4 days for the pulley to arrive for stage1+ (I initially also thought that the dyno was purely about proof of gains hence wasnt entirely convinced).

Apparently the revo maps allow the tuner to make changes to certain parameters (within a set tolerance) in order to get the best set up for your individual car. In order to do this they'll either do some road tests or use a dyno. There may well be some who just bang it on :D

Or alternatively nothing of what I've said is true and I've been sold a pup! :D

Could very well be mate I know some just put the maps on and don’t need a rolling road but Iv never had a revo my myself so just guessing really :tearsofjoy::tongueclosed:

That's interesting because I recently heard that REVO don't allow their "franchise" tuners to make any changes, so much that if the map is not 100% compatible with a particular car, REVO need to update it at their HQ and send a new one out.

Cant find anything on the web from a reputable source to verify that it is or isn't customizable in some way shape or form via dealer. They were definitely working on my car for an hour or so whilst on the dyno. Could they have been doing something outside of the revo map? I'm even more curious now

If I were you, I'd play safe and stick with REVO, their map will be on lots of 3.0TFSI engines so most potential issues will have been ironed out already.
QUATTRO thing below number plate, I'd be painting the plated fixing brackets that have nothing in them, same for the collision bar, black maybe silk in both cases so that they "disappear".

I've always used Hammerite satin black and matt black and normal black, which ever seems to suit the surroundings, I've not replaced the grill so can't comment on what to use on the crash bar, rmember it is aluminium (I think), so it might need a specialist primer, also available from Hammerite, to give a lasting good look/job.

May need to take the bumper off and spray the thing. Another 2 hours labour with local garage
