Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can confirm what i think i need to replace to solve my problem.

Regually the blower will blow out hot air, no matter what the setting is unless it is set to low in which case it it is cold !

I have found 2 errors via vag-com :

00716 - Air recirculation Flap Positioning Motor (V113)
41-10 - Blocked or No Voltage - Intermittent
00735 - Potentiometer in Positioning Motor for Air recirculation Flap (G143)
30-00 - Open or Short to Plus

From what i have read if i replace the motor :
Air recirculation Flap Positioning Motor (V113)
8E2 820 511 D

this will solve my cooling problems ???

Many Thanks

John.

Drop the glovebox and see if the arms on the motors move, sometimes when jammed a gentle prod can get them going again.

Hi Kite, Yeah done that but all seems fine, movements ok. I dont fancy replacing a part that wont fix my problem.

Many thanks

John

I get the same codes mate and mine works fine. I clear them and they don't come back for weeks.

Thanks BILKO1, But thats what i'm worried about.

Can any one confirm that by changing the part

Air recirculation Flap Positioning Motor (V113)
8E2 820 511 D

will cure my vents blowing out hot air on the passenger side ?

Many Thanks

Is it the passenger side only? I'd do as said above remove glove box and phyically disconnect the motors (not the wiring) one at the at a time and move the flaps / rods manually until you find the culprit. Real easy to get at with the glove box out.

Hi BILKO1, When you say disconnect the motors not the wiring what do you mean ?

Disconnect the plugs ?

Cheers

J
