Is this normal? Im new to the 1.8T

Got an A3 sport 1.8T

I came from a mark3 golf gti (150bhp) and it was so quick - through each gear.

I got the audi thinking the turbo would be pretty much the same but obviously give a little boost feeling.

Thing is 1st, 2nd are amazing, really pulls but 3rd 4th 5th are all quite slow and I feel no rush of boost. Its totally standard (apart from 007p) so I know its not going to be mega fast but just wondering if this sounds normal?

Remap is on the way but wondering in the meantime,

This sounds pretty normal from the 150bhp 1.8T, it would defiantly benefit from a remap.
Remember the A3 is a heavier car than a Mk3

Theres no point with the road being as slippery as they are at the min anyway, Even my 1.6 is finding it difficult to get traction?

As i said by email mate did the noise stop when you changed the DV to the 007P?

Standard form they're nothing special but remap it and its alot better!

You can even go the K03S turbo route, you'd be looking at 250 BHP then but depends how far you want to take it?

You will not get 250 out of a K03s unless you only want it for a week!

Even with all the mods in Britain, and some other "special" tweaks, one had 253. But that was a one off!

Yes mate it seemed the original DV was ******, no noise at all now - didnt notice any difference in drive though!
