Is this a turbo leak? Loss of power

My car has been really sluggish recently, and makes a whistling noise even at low revs. Really slow in the low gears
Gonna get it checked out soon, just wondered if anyones encountered the same before. Feels awful to drive

Hi Enzo,

The first thing I would check would be the Diverter valve.

If it isn't the revision D type you have on your car, then it's likely the membrane has split, giving you a loss of power, especially if you're over taking or planting your right foot!

I warn you changing the DV on an A3 Q is pain, as I did mine a couple of years back, I found very hard to get to (under the car)! Although saying that I took the one off my VRS the other day, in no time at all, go figure!

If that's ok the check all the pipe work for splits.

tip when replacing DV, take off the wheel, drop the engine a bit and access through the wheel arch
