Is it possible to change the rear camshaft seal on 1.9tdi aWx with the engine in situ?

I have a leak from the rear camshaft seal, following having the camshaft replaced by an audi specialist, and I wanted to know if he has to replace the seal is it going to be an enormous job because the rear camshaft seal is jammed up against the bulkhead?

Know this is a long shot but would like to know what you done about this problem as I am in the same situation
