Intermittant failure to start

Hello all. I have a A4 B6 2002 1.8T 163BHP BFB Engine.
After the car has been standing for a week I tried to start , engine cranked but would not start. After few mins fired up ok. ( 110,000 miles on clock ).
Any tips would be apricaited before I decide to take to dealer

There are a few fault codes, I assume the Short to Ground
ones are secondary and caused by main fault.

I have ordered a new 02 sensor because of this one:

17522 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B1 S2: Internal Resistance too High
P1114 - 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded

could this be the problem?? would this prevent starting

It seems the fuel relay was at fault. Opened the old one up and
contacts were pitted and black.
