What’s best uprated intercooler to go with ?

APR because it’s the most expensive.

In no order of bestness there is Wagner, Airtec Stg 2, Peron, Pro Alloy or a welly cooler from the likes of Toyosport.

These seem to be the most used or discussed on here.

It depends on your car. A 2.0 TFSI non S3 will be happy with an Alloy end S3 intercooler. If you have an S3 the likes of above will be excellent. I fitted a Wagner to my S3.
Wellycooler requires modification to crash bar etc whereas the others will fit the existing set up with minimal filing to mounting holes.

I’ve got a 2.0tfsi s3 seen a few good results with wellycoolers

They produce good results but they involve a lot of work but quite cheap in comparison. There are different versions and most seem to like the bar and plate versions.
I suggest you contact AKS tuning if you need excellent quality fitting.
