Been offered this cheap would it fit if changes pipes etc ??

it's on a car now so you know it must fit? The a/c condenser has been removed though, and I'm not sure those pipes would be clearing the fog lights (mainly the one of the left). It could but I'm just not certain.

If you trim the crash bar I'm sure it would fit without removing your a/c.

My intercooler would be that size just not quite as thick.

you said would it fit if you change the pipes. If you have an s3 you will need new pipework. But it doesn't matter if the air enters and exits the intercooler the other way around

i bet the majority of pipe work would fit on an s3 but why bother
wellycooler design can be done for around 200 quid
all new
no guessing

The pipework would need a bit of customization, on an S3 the throttlebody is on the other side and the charged air from the turbo comes from the other side, so the complete reverse of the above. Chances are things wouldn't line up properly, new pipework would be needed to meet up with the MAP sensor etc.

The pipework on a k04 car is a lot easier than on a k03 car so would be easy to adapt but as daz said, it can all be had new for around £200
