Hey fellas, installed the IE intake last week. Perfect fit and brings a bit more volume out of the subdued engine note (well, the lack thereof).

Was on sale so cost me less than 2/3's the price of the Eventuri.

Is this 8Y version or the old 8V one that fits the 8Y ?

I'm guessing it's the 8V - part # IEINCQ1

Didn't know there was an 8Y version, what's the difference?

I know the overpriced Eventuri 8V didn’t fit the 8Y properly, I believe it was touching the throttle elbow.

Just checked, there is no 8Y version of the IE carbon intake, this fits like a glove.

Eventuri did make an 8Y specific version of their intake, you’re right. I think one of their bolts (right side) for the front air scoop didn’t exactly match the hole placement on the 8Y. The IE intake doesn’t use a bolt for the air scoop on the right in that location.

Thanks

Are you in Aus or did they ship it to you internationally?
Yeah, in Aus mate. Shipping and import duty when buying from o/s usually kills any deals to be had.

RHD also. I have noticed a few have stated LHD only

More room at the rear now in the RHD 8Y. Servo tip isn’t as long as before.

Did the Eventuri inlet install today.

Straight forward from the top without needing to go though taking things apart under the car however it is very tight getting the lower inlet screw out.

Put it all together and got to the silicone coupler to connect it to the IE intake pipe and it's 50mm short.

Will need to pick up a 140mm 4" silicone hose piece.
