Instrument cluster help

I have a really annoying creak coming from my instrument cluster so I have decided to remove it and see where it is coming from, I can't see where it is coming from.

But round the outside edge of the cluster is some sticky backed felt that looks like its there to stop creaks between the dash and the instruments, only problem is it looks decidedly dodgy.

I want to replace it with something better but it needs to be super thin and very sticky, does anyone have any idea how I can obtain anything like this, the creak is driving me round the twist.

PS your car wont start and run without the instruments connected!

You can buy the genuine vag stuff here but thats probably exactly the same as what you have already. Being new though should make it more sticky I'm guessing.
