Is there any way of checking injectors in vagcom ? Or any other way? Its cold outside so it could be the reason i can see smoke ? 2006 Audi A6 3.0TDI quattro sline le mans | Daytona Grey Pearl
No. It was probably 5 min drive from stone cold 2006 Audi A6 3.0TDI quattro sline le mans | Daytona Grey Pearl
Get the engine up to temp and allow it to idle, if lots of smoke comes out of the back then the injectors are failing. if it's clear then is just water/condensation from the exhaust.
Looks like injectors to me. I've put up with it for 13000 miles but my replacement injectors will be here in the next couple of days
Happy to say that with engine up to temp its spot on , no smoke at all . That morning was really cold and the lights from the car behind didnt help as it made the condensation looked much more whiter then it was . Thanks all ! 2006 Audi A6 3.0TDI quattro sline le mans | Daytona Grey Pearl
You can check injectors in vagcom. For that, you enter in "1 engine" and after you enter in "meas. blocks". You have to write 72 (injector Nº 1) 73 (injector Nº 2) 74 (injector Nº 3) 75 (injector Nº 4) 76 (injector Nº 5) 77 (injector Nº 6) and it will show values. First row, the values can't be smaller than -45 ms (-46 is smaller). For othes cases from -30 ms, injectors start giving problems. The symptoms of faulty injectors are: Smoke with hot engine. High oil level. Motor lock for a second when you start with hot motor.
Is this on cold or up to temperature engine ? 2006 Audi A6 3.0TDI quattro sline le mans | Daytona Grey Pearl
Is better done with the service temp engine, but you can do it with off motor and you look at last values. Perfect value is 0 but (+9) ( -9 ) too it is ok. Example
