Induction kit for 2.0TDI A4

Looking for some advice guys. I recently bought a K&N typhoon induction kit for my 2.0 TDI A4 Avant Black edition (B8), despite it being listed for LHD cars I thought I would give it a bash. Tried to fit it over the weekend, and noticed that a few things not mentioned in the installation sheet: there is an electrical plug underneath the factory intake box, there is a small tube running alongside the side of the intake box, and the OE intake hose has another smaller tube which joins into it. Needless to say I abandoned the mission! I was wondering if anyone has successfully managed to fit one of these kits to their TDI and how they managed to overcome the above issues which may be due to the car being a diesel and or RHD???

What other induction kits would people recommend? Cheers

Im led to belive the standard airbox is good for over 220bhp so maybe pointless

As above stick a panel filter in the standard setup as it has excellent flow to start with
