Indicator problem

Hi all, had a strange problem today where indicating right brought the left hand side on for a second or two, also on a few occasions they have not come on at all.
Just wondered has anyone had similar issues, id guess at the stalk switch being the problem but would like to confirm before buying one.
Car is a 2010 model without cruise control.

Just buy some electrical cleaner / isopropyl alcohol and spray it into the stalk whilst working the stalk
