Hey mates
So im running an Audi A3 8L, 1.8 Turbo from 2000.
Engine code AUM, so it's with an K03S.
Now done 145.000 KM, and turbo seems to be worn, and should be replaced...

Should I go for an
K03-053
K03-052
K04-001
.. ?

It must be a perfect bolt on, I don't want to change manifolds or anything, I just want to replace the turbo.
Seeking advice.
Im currently doing 196,5 BHP and 234 lb/ft tq, car is 98% stock, only mapped.

And any opinions on this turbo, that I found on eBay?

This says you can put a K04 straight in - I cannot comment on the eBay Turbos - there are several complaints on here but they may only be when you are trying to get 280BHP rather than 210BHP.

How did you get 234lb/ft torque from a K03? that's impressive - that's about the same as my mapped S3

A new genuine KKK ko4-001 is about £900.

A new genuine ko3-053 is like £600+.

Most everything else is a cheap copy from the far east. They might last 50miles or 40,000 miles.

Best bet would be contact Dan from BBT and see if he has a k250 lying around he could sell you.

@Stuart B Don't know exactly why it got 234, but that was the result of the map.. Pulls like a train :p

@antwan64og Do you know where I Can get a hold of Dan? And sorry to Sound dumb but what is an K250

BBT= Beach Buggy Turbos, you'll find tehy have a page on Facebook. Their website seems to be down at the moment.

Thanks guys,
Had a word with him and other companys, and I was told to try changing my N75 valve, due to the symptoms I told them.

I'll give that a go, as a starter.
