IN DASH DISPLAY INFO. HELP!!!

Dash info. has gone off, only comes on when warning of open doors.
Anybody else had this problem? and does it mean i need a new dash, please say no !!!!! <font color="blue"> </font>

did you press the rest button on the right hand stick, if so i cant remamber 100% whicj way it is but if you hold it in for 1second it should come back on or it might be you have to hold it in for about 5 seconds. There is a option to turn it off i did it in my A3 good luck.

The black button on the underside of the wiper stalk turns display off if pressed briefly. If held in, it will reset the current value being viewed in the display (e.g. average mpg).
